I had never been to a campaign rally before, let alone actively participate in a huge demonstration. I felt a huge sense of dread when I thought I had missed my coach from Birmingham to Kingsnorth. Luckily, this dread was short lived, as I suddenly saw a throng of beaming activists walking towards me. An injection of excitement coursed through my veins as we all boarded the coach; a collective sense of purpose tangible.
