Cooking and camping in Peru

Cooking chilli con carni and pancakes today as part of the workshops that we have four nights a week, we had a brainstorm over what would most effectively represent the cusine of Britain and opted for a Mexican dish and pancakes - go figure. Shepherds pie would probably have been a lot better but we don't have an oven and most popular British dishes require an oven and two hours cooking. We could always use the classic phrase 'here's one I made earlier' and whip a full roast out in front of an amazed and no doubt impressed group of Peruvian women.

Emma's update from Peru

Hi there peoples! Where to begin???

life in Peru is pretty hectic we spent the first three days in lima and were staying in a hostal I think a lot of people were glad to leave so that we could actually begin to do what we came out for which was to live and work in the community.

I just want to say a BIG THANK YOU to Platform2!!
I went away to Peru for 10 weeks, and had an AMAZING time!!
The place, the people, the food and just the whole experience was wikid! :D
Thank you so much! I've definitely made some long life friends; both in England and Peru!
I've also learnt a lot about myself, and both the English and Peruvian cultures.
It's definitely been an eye opener
THANK YOU
xXx
