Group1 Heather Blog4 / Ghana - Achiase


Holiday today & tomorrow!! I slept for 10 hours! I’m also allowed to use a flushing toilet nearby...well happy about that!

So Rachel & I are staying at May’s house with the girls & little Benjamin. I’m so happy about that because they treat us so well & as a part of the family.

This morning we braved a bit of rain and went to Kumasi zoo again. It will be the last time I go because I don’t like to see the chimpanzees getting harassed by the locals to try to impress us. There’s meant to be a 1000 GH S fine for that sort of thing.

I bought 8.5 yards of cloth today...! I’m going to get a lady from Achiase town to make up a few things for me ;) Very exciting!

We also get tomorrow off....! Not sure what we’ll do then...I’ll visit the humanitarian centre in the village with Zach if he’s up for it... & washing maybe?
