Today we were taken to a shop called National Handloom where we were to purchase our salwaar kameez, the appropriate attire for women in India. It keeps shoulders, cleavage and legs covered. They're stunning. Unfortunately the shopping experience itself was rather strenuous! 13 women told they have to buy 3 separate outfits, at the same time as each other, in a crowded, hot store where they don't speak the language of the shopkeepers. I was glad when I'd chosen my outfits and was sat down being given a free henna tattoo.
